1) is it possible to incorporate net2ftp or any other java based ftp manager under filemanager for websites?

1) I've looked into this before, that there aren't many good client-side FTP applets, actually. That one looks like it proxies FTP through a webserver, which wouldn't work well for us. I can look into this more in the future, but it's generally best to use a SFTP client, even when an applet is available.
