Question about 20% off...

Post by HarryNutz »

What exactly does the phrase "grandfathered in for as long as the server is kept in the same configuration."?

Do you mean ANY changes to the server would then make it lose the grandfathered rate or are you referencing like if you tried lowering the slot count etc etc?

When we say "grandfathered" we mean that the price now is locked in for life until you make some type of change to your server. Any change that would alter the price of the server, such as upgrading slots or adding CPU priority. This also goes both ways. If you were to switch to another server that was a lower price then what you are paying now then that lower price is locked in place for life as well.

Importantly, changing the location is also allowed, without losing grandfathering, as is adding or removing a free stats option.

One other quesion... Im doing the switch from my other provider right now and I can't add a second game server... so what do I need to do to get this working with the 20%? So right now I am ready to submit my order but only have my TeamSpeak and BF3... still need to add MW3 server.

Just use the coupon code again and in the comments enter the MW3 server IP/provider.

We can change the identifier for you but it cannot be the same as another server. However servers that are of a different type can be the same, such as a game server, website and voice server can have the same identifier but two game servers cannot.

Cool thanks... I put a little message at the bottom requesting same identifiers as they are all different. 1 TS3, 1 MW3 and 1 BF3. Really annoying I can't get my website here also... tried the service and was a little disappointed in the panel... but oh well. Maybe I might attempt it again in the future and see what happens.

If you don't mind me asking what is missing from the panel that causes you not getting a website here?

Honestly I don't recall since its been awhile... I think it just might have been that I am so use to the existing panel on my current host and seems so easy to maneuver around and overall the panel here just seemed somewhat lacking. I know I had to jump through a ton of hoops to get my site up and when I finally did... that fast I was canceling and going back to the other host.

As I said... maybe I can try and talk myself back into attempting it again, but only once I find someone willing to give me a hand or doing it all for me. Just not in the mood for all the hoops.

I think he is talking about cPanel.

You could always buy a license for cPanel and host your site on a vds server here.
But that might not be cheap unless your website is big + tons of plugins.

NFo would be my #1 choice if I wanted an unmanaged vds server for a website server.
