Hey guys,
My dedicated server has been undergoing many DDoS attacks by a main competator,
I got told by John to post in this forum so here is the message he told me:
This is something that you would need to troubleshoot on your end, as we don't have layer 3 hardware between you and InterNAP -- the traffic just goes right through. If you'd like more information on how to take a traffic dump and apply firewall rules to mitigate the attack, please make a post here: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=44.
Thanks,
John
Founder/President
So if you guys know how to intergrade DDoS protection or firewall settings for my server let me know please!
Information:
O/S: Centos 64bit
- Thanks
Robbie

Re: Preventing DDoS attacks
While the attack is in progress, please run a command like this:
That will give me output that I can use to suggest an iptables firewall rule to mitigate your specific attack.
Code: Select all
tcpdump -X -n -c 100
Re: Preventing DDoS attacks
just waiting for the attacks to happen again!
