DOS:S SRCDS VPS METAMOD NOT LOADING

I have an unmanaged windows x64 2008 VPS. I can get the servers running no problem at all.

however after following various guides im unable to get metamod to load.

this is what i did.

1. started srcds pointing to orangebox\dod.
2. dropped all the addons in the dod folder of orangebox
3. edited gameinfo.txt
4. dropped in the created vdf file to addons.
5. restarted vps

unknown command

meta version

[Edge100x]

You shouldn't need to edit gameinfo.txt if you are using the .vdf loading message.

What are the contents of both gameinfo.txt and your .vdf?

Are you certain that MM:S is installed to the right place?
