Does NFo backup Unmanaged VDS servers on a separate machine in case of disaster?
I plan to ditch my web host vps server (from another company) and move things here.
Then have another company manage the vds server for me.

Re: Unmanaged servers backup
The unmanaged VDS servers are run with a RAID configuration to avoid data loss, but there isn't a practical way for us to keep complete backups of them. We recommend keeping your own backups to be safe.

Ok, I was thinking if NFo backed up all of their servers nightly (unamanged machines)
RAID should be fine, unless I go with 2 servers setup @ two separate locations, if I have it on the same location then I'd probably end up on the same machine.

At the same location, we also should be able to move one of your servers to another machine, if you wish.
We talk a bit more about the need for backups in this article (and our TOS): http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =47&t=4728

Re: Unmanaged servers backup
We just offer VDSes on InterNAP in Seattle right now (I don't think we've ever done Premium ones).
