Gaming website building
Hi, can anyone recommend a good source (reputable) on how to build a gaming website, tools etc. for the complete novice? Thanks to all for any help.
Re: Gaming website building
Well it all depends on what experience you have with website building.
If you are new to the scene PHPNuke might be a good option, but I've never been a fan of PHPNuke, but it makes it easy for someone to design a gaming website around it.
Another option is to go with an easier option: http://www.enjin.com/
They pretty much do everything, all you have to do is change the name and the logo and you are all set.
There are other options such as vBulletin or XenForo but those are paid softwares and require a lot more work, but the end result would be magnificent and an unique community.
Last but not least, NFo offers power control panel tool to get you going and install a complete website using their autoinstaller tool.
For a gaming website it's very important to have a portal page (home page) and a forum page.
Good luck in your quest.

Thank you Icewolf, enjin does look very promising. I managed earlier to stumble onto uCoz which seems good too, I appreciate your help.
