Web Hosting Subdomain

I run the cwr.nuclearfallout.net server and am trying to set up web hosting. In the Control Panel, I specified cwr as the subdomain, but was told that it was already taken.

So, do I need to specify a different subdomain for the web hosting? Or, is it possible to keep things streamlined under one subdomain?

you cant run the server and webhosting under the same name because its due to dns conflicts.

the dns for your server is sending your players to that IP, but for webhosting, it would be to an ip on a specific subfolder on the webserver.

Two different things.

You would need to select something different for the webhost.

yeah, once I started thinking about how the directory tree is structured, the more I realized it would be difficult.

We could give you a sub-subdomain if you wanted, since that would allow the webserver to be on a separate IP also. Like http://www.yourclan.nuclearfallout.net or whatup.yourclan.nuclearfallout.net, something like that.

ya HLTV currently runs like that now

Kind of. HLTV is the other way around, yourname.hltv rather than hltv.yourname. That way was better for our systems since not everyone would want both an HLTV and a game server.
