Possible DNS issue?

Post by CaseMonster »

Hello, I'm looking to host an email server on the VDS I've rented from NFOServers. After messaging the support team, they unblocked port 25 for me. Now I've run into an issue where I still can't send mail. The support team has informed me that it is definitely not blocked on their end, however, i'm still unable to get this setup.

Is anyone familiar with hmailserver? Currently I can send mail via the server, but I can't receive mail.

I'm not familiar with this mail server, but are you sure that it's running, and that it's bound to the correct IP (not localhost or another IP)?

I just figured it out. I needed to set hmailserver to accept smtp traffic on port 25 as well as port 587.

NFO Servers rock!
