Setting up Arma 2 RCon

Ive tried the post that krazee made and followed them to the letter but it still is not working, so ive come here to the forums to see if anyone on NFO has ever been able to get RCon to work on a VDS and if so how did you go about setting it up.

If your talking rcon for arma in general, you have to have Battleye=1 in your server.cfg and in your battleye.cfg you have to set your password.

To connect with any rcon tool, you need to login with ip, port, and password.

Yeah we have that all, and the cfg file in there, but it still doesnt allow us to connect.

On our dayz server we use DART,i wonder if that works for arma as it is a mod from arma

i tried that out, still no good. I tried putting it onto my server and running it to see if there was a fw issue still no go, so its come down to the files, whether or not there done properly.

When you join the server do you see the Battleye Server messages?
Battleye Initializd and where it authentics your guid.

You tried BeRcon?

Also, but I am not sure, but are you sure your file structure is correct?

Ya when i start the server it says battle eye initialized, and im guessing its the file structure, checking it with a server we have thats a rented server that works.
