Arma 3 ETA

Post by axRhino »

Any idea when we will be able to buy / add Arma3 servers to our VDS? I know some companies are starting to offer Alpha servers for Arma 3.

You can rent an unmanaged VDS and set it up yourself for now.

When the dedicated server files are released, I will take a look at them to see if they are stable enough and configurable enough to make hosting alpha servers practical.

We might be interested in an Arma 3 server Alpha for managed machines too.

As of right now, an Arma 3 hasn't provided a server file, but using the game executable using -server variable allows you to create a server.

We also need Arma3 for our VDS managed server.

Please provide this a.s.a.p.

Thank you for your understanding and great customer assured satisfaction. You're the best in the business for a reason!

Cheers!

Would be nice to have the option to setup Arma3 Alpha server on managed machine.

Dedicated server files haven't been released so it's not possible to support it.(we normally do not support alpha or beta releases, anyways due to there unstable state)

When files are released we will take a look in to and look in to adding support :D

Does anyone know if they have an ETA when the files might be released?

Haven't heard yet.

Our server has been full at odd times, and makes it impossible to get on to play.
No battleye to kick people off, so either you wait which can take forever, or you restart the server and jump in and hope the people return.

Wow they give you 3 beta keys to give away when you get the game. How sweet is that?? 8)

Downloading the game now. I set up a server per the instructions in that link. Hopefully it works. We will see shortly. :-)

Well sadly the beta keys they give you for the game, are called "beta lite" keys. They have most of the game, but not all of it, including multiplayer. So if you wanted to get online now, you will have to buy the game to get into the alpha. Just tried to get on our server, 50 slots, and it is full with no way for me to kick anyone so I can join. Go figure.

I downloaded a nice collection of day/night missions and am running that rotation. It is TDM atm, and the person that did the missions said they were setup for 25v25, so I have it at 50 slots. Thus far, I am very impressed with how well it runs, considering it is an alpha. I'm sure the uber NFO hardware has a lot to do with that. 8)
