Server Ping Issues

I am renting a 4 core unmanaged VDS on windows server 2008 and currently running two GMod servers.

One is 50 slots and another is 20.

What my CPU looks like with 45/50 and 20/20 on both of my servers.

I've disabled plugins and such and its still a issue.
I've been told by NFOStaff to make this post

Does anyone have any ideas?

You are personally seeing a good bit of loss to your server which could explain some issues you are seeing.

As for the pings, I do see some normal pings mixed in with the high ones, so you should ask around and see if there ping is normal. You should also ask them to check net_graph 4 for any choke/loss.

You may also want to try running the server completely stock. Stock map, gamemode and no addons.

With 50/50 slots, everyone is 130ping+

What are your rates set to?

For a 50 slot GMOD(at 66 tick) I would recommend:

sv_minupdaterate 30
sv_maxupdaterate 67
sv_mincmdrate 30
sv_maxcmdrate 67
sv_minrate 100000
sv_maxrate 0
net_splitpacket_maxrate 50000

If it is something like rp, you can also consider lowering the tickrate a little if you are seeing extremely high CPU usage.

clients experiencing a lot of choke/loss can have their pings get quite high, even up to 100ms higher than normal. These settings should alleviate that as much as possible.

I'm running at 33 ticks

What should it be for a server @ 33 ticks?

and i don't have any of that set.

Edited for 33 tick. Add these to your server.cfg and they will be applied next round. Enter them into server console for most of them to be activated immediately.

That loss needs to be fixed too. I just joined the server and was experiencing the same loss that you show in your screenshot. I am running a MTR as I am typing this and will post it when it reaches around 1000 samples.

I used the new cfg you suggested and we still have the same issue.

Most likely one of your addons is causing your issues. Have you tried disabling your server addons even on one server for a little while to see if it fixes the issues?

Also what is resource usage looking like on your VDS?

I checked my addons, I doubt it.

Whenever this server hits over 40 people it starts to become a issue.

I upgraded a core and it did no fixing at all, same exact issue.

What is CPU/ram usage on your VDS? Is one maxing out a core?

Is that peak though? Are your servers currently full and seeing issues?

That was taken when my 20 slot server was full and my 50 slot server was at 45 people.
