How do I enable passive mode in FileZilla and WinSCP?

How do I enable passive mode in FileZilla and WinSCP?

To enable passive mode in FileZilla:
  1. Select "Edit"
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Select "FTP"
  4. Check "Passive (recommended)"
  5. Select "OK"
To enable passive mode in WinSCP:
  1. Select "New Tab"
  2. Select your existing site, or "New Site"
  3. Select "Advanced"
  4. Select "Connection"
  5. Check "Passive mode"
  6. Select "OK"
  7. Fill out the session details with your credentials
  8. Select "Save" to save your changes
