So if you were to compare both, do you think Valve games such as CSS,CSGO,L4D2 still perform better on Linux these days or would you opt in for Windows?

Valve games have never performed better on Linux . Previously, the difference was large, with Windows performing much better. I'd say that nowadays the gap has closed a bit due to further optimizations from Valve and Linux kernel developers, to the point that you should just use the OS that you personally prefer to administrate.
