I recently installed IIS onto my windows dedicated server, although even when I put things inside the web directory it's still a blank page, I view source nothings there. I make a text document in there to see if it'll download or let me view it. It says that it isn't there.
I restarted my server after installing IIS, I don't know what the problem is.

Re: IIS blank page
Make sure IIS is running first. The control panel should be located in control panel-> Administrative tools.
IIS has a default start page, so if you cannot see that it is likely the web server is not running.
What error do you get if any when going to your website in a web browser?

Re: IIS blank page
IIS is running, and I replaced the start page with what I wanted already. The only thing is when I go directly to our IP (which is the default website) it's just a blank white page. Even if I go on remote desktop and go on the IIS control panel and click visit website, it's still a blank white page, no error.soja wrote:Make sure IIS is running first. heres a pic for reference there is an index.php in there, I've also tried index.html.
Re: IIS blank page
This would not effect the index.html test, but do you have php installed?

Re: IIS blank page
I honestly don't know.
What happens when you upload an actual file onto the website? IIS needs MIME types set up for odd extensions like .rar, so keep that in mind if you upload one of those.
What is the directory you are using to upload files? Is it the default IIS directory?

Re: IIS blank page
I have the main directory pointing directly to the IP, but I also have a domain in a different directory, neither of them work
