TS3 Issue

Post by IcyPhoenix »

Hi,

I have a weird issue after migrating to the Dallas DataCenter.

I was on the Atlanta DataCenter, and prior to moving TS3 server was running fine with no issues, now when trying to connect it just times out.

I've checked ports 10011 and 30033, both of them seems open and accepting connections, but port 9987 seems to be closed and not accepting connections, I've checked resource manager and verified all ports can bypass the firewall.

Is there something I'm doing wrong on my end (ie/ residual setting for network settings from previous ip)

I have tried doing a fresh launch of the TS3 server to no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

What other game servers are you running on the same server?

Check the config file to see if it set to bind to the old ip.

Double check that the server executable is allowed through windows firewall

Edit: also check the logs for any errors.

@Soja - wouldn't the config clear since I redownloaded?
@Soja - Already explained that port 10011 and 30033 is allowed through, 9987 should be no exception.

@Quack - nothing that would take up port 9987, ports used are 7777,7776,7778,7878,80

Weird thing happened, apparently someone was able to connect, but everyone else isn't able to?

Actually if your running America's Army 3 or 4, it uses a built in TS3, which uses port 9987 and would conflict with the default port of TS3. We had this issue, and had to change the port for TS3 to 9988.

Interesting that someone managed to get on.

Have you checked your task manager, to make sure only one instance of TS3 is running?

Restarted server, so only one instance is running - resource manager would tell me if multiple ts3 are running or multiple ts3 ports are running (9987 9988 9989 etc...)

If you have more than 1 TS3 running, they will all use 9987 and would conflict.
You have to manually change the ports if they are conflicting.

I think we used a tutorial using telnet and some other commands.
Was a pain in the rear.
