Ubuntu VDS- Increase Resolution?
Simple as the title- How do you Increase the resolution on a VDS running Ubuntu? My current resolution is 800x600, trying to get it up to at least 1024x768 so that I can manage my windows a bit better. I have tried editing the xml file that stores the default resolution, but to no avail. Anyone have...

Re: Server listen ports problem?
I think I fixed it! It was actually an internal, valve problem. Ports and the server was doing fine, it was the actual server code that is borked up. Anyone else who has this issue, add these lines to your config: //TEMP FIX: sv_master_legacy_mode 1 setmaster remove hl2master.steampowered.com:27011 ...

Hi I have been racking my brain trying to figure this out. Here goes: I have 2 tf2 servers on my box- one is working perfectly, vanilla install, no mods whatsoever. The other is a freshly reinstalled and I am having a problem with it showing the total player count in the server. There could be any n...

custom rDNS
Hi all! I was perusing my server control panel when i noticed a section I have ignored/never really used before- The reverse DNS section. At the risk of screwing something up or worse, I wanted to ask what is this feature used for and its practical uses when running servers. I have attached an image...

TF2 Server srcds wont run after Dec17 update?
I updated my servers last night, as I always do, and my tf2 cmd line shortcuts will not launch the server. Tried verifying all the files and updating to make sure I didn't miss anything, but I am still having the issue. Is anyone having the same issue or is it just me? Any help would be appreciated,...

Best workflow for setting up FastDownload on srcds?
Hi All, I have successfully set up fast download to work properly on my servers. This is the workflow I use: - Download all the maps/materials for customs maps/materials and load them onto the server folders, respectively. - Take all the custom map files and put them in their own folder on VDS. - Co...

Re: Really bad latency/timeout on VDS
Thanks Edge and everyone,
After Sunday, it seemed that the Server was back to normal- no lag, and everything was smooth. I guess it was just a bad connection on the InterNap side of things. Hopefully everything works out well from here on out. Thanks for all the help guys!
