Re: Counter Strike GO
Ok. Here is the Setup. Linux single core VDS with Ubuntu 13.04. Resources look good. Here is what generates in the log: L 05/24/2013 - 09:53:03: Log file started (file "logs/L000_000_000_000_27015_201305240953_000.log") (game "/home/csgoserver/csgo/csgo") (version "5308"...

Counter Strike GO
I am having troubles running a CSGO server from my unmanaged VDS. I was able to install it and setup scripts to start and stop and such. I see the server in the master list but when I connect to it the game just hangs at connecting or kicks me back to a lobby. All research points to bad configs and ...

Re: VDS Can't Resolve Domains
This likely relates to the issue we mentioned on Facebook/Twitter on 3/28: If you run an unmanaged VDS or dedicated machine and you're having problems with DNS resolution today, check to make sure that your DNS servers are set to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google's). Some older machines here were origina...

Re: VDS Can't Resolve Domains
So...as soon as I posted this it hit me to check the resolver file.
I changed the IP(Not sure what the included IP's were for or how they got there) to 8.8.8.8 and now everything resolves fine. Not exactly sure why this issue just sprung up but this fixed it.
/etc/resolv.conf

VDS Can't Resolve Domains
My VDS setup was working perfectly up until yesterday. Nothing was really changed and I can't figure out why it's failing. Here is the setup. VDS running Ubuntu 10.10. Runs GPC with Urban Terror servers and B3 and some custom scripts. Anything requiring web access fails to resolve. Example: Urban Te...

Re: How To Install HomeFront ON Windows VDS
That is exactly what I did just after I made this post. Previously that failed with some weird error messages but after I did a repair of one of the redist and a reboot and did some config changes it loaded and made a new profile. I transferred that profile to my install and works like a charm! Than...

How To Install HomeFront ON Windows VDS
I am attempting to install a HomeFront Server on my Windows 2008 rc2 VDS. I can't seem to get the server to start. Steps I have taken: Read the HomeFront Wiki Enabled the 3.5 .net Framework in Server Features Installed the redist in the server files package Created a DedicatedPlayerlist.txt and plac...
