Re: Small rubber banding after hard reboot of machine
You could probably make that firewall ruleset using Windows firewall, but I don't know how to do that. You would have to look up how to do it online. You must be very careful though, as you could result in locking yourself out of your machine. With windows fire wall on the servers tend to freeze up...

Re: Small rubber banding after hard reboot of machine
A few days ago I had to do a hard reboot on our full machine. After I brought everything back up, we have been experiencing a small rubber band affect every few minutes or so. Every now and then it gets pretty bad for a few seconds. At this point I am out of ideas as to what is causing it. The CPU ...

Re: Automatic backup of mysql on ubuntu VDS
The easiest way for you would be to make a batch script using mysqldump to get the databases from your ubuntu server. mysqldump comes with mysql server for windows. You don't actually need to use the mysql server, you just need the mysqldump program. Here is a guide on how to use mysqldump remotely...

Server freezing when I disconnect from server using RDC
So I recently built a new computer, but I have run into a problem managing my full machine. Every time I disconnect from it using remote desktop connection, the entire box freezes for 5-15 seconds. All of the servers we are running seize up and lose most of their players from this. I was running win...

Thank you. I got it working.soja wrote:You need to set the IP address in your operating system. Ordering the IP allows you to use it, using it involves changing your OS configuration.
You can find information on how to add an IP to your VDS here: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=68

Re: Just added 2 extra IPs to our box. How do I test that th
Ping the server you should get a response. Bind the IP to a game and connect to that game via that IP. Did you follow the step by step instructions for adding an IP address? If I ping the IPs i get a request time out. And they are showing up on the IP list on the control panel. Is there more I need...

Re: exe file type lost icons and can't be run by double clic
so I was able to run home on my break and download the program by using Windows Explorer to open Chrome by just putting the website address in it. unfortunately I can't run the exe for the same reason I'm having problems in the first place. I will try creating a secondary user and seeing if I can ru...

Re: exe file type lost icons and can't be run by double clic
I don't care about losing the icons as much as I care about not being able to run them. I will try that download as soon as I can. Unfortunately I had to leave to work since I had made the post. I will let you know how it turns out. If anyone else has any ideas that I could try when I get home too p...

exe file type lost icons and can't be run by double clicking
So last night I was trying to set up a Garry's Mod server for a friend. I was messing around with a bat file trying to get the correct launch settings, when suddenly all of the exe on my desktop lost their icons. At the time I thought nothing of it and just continued with what I was doing. About an ...

Re: Create a "fake" microphone on windows server 2012?
One problem. If I log in though RDP it suddenly makes every thing stop working. Any way to stop that? Or will I have to use VNC to get it back working again?
